Finnovic Shield · Client profiling

Know which clients are costing you

A handful of clients account for most of a B-book's losses, and they rarely look unusual on a balance report. Finnovic Shield profiles every client's behaviour and tells you which ones are worth re-booking — with the evidence to back the call.

What it does

The capability, in plain terms

Named abuse patterns

Each behaviour recognised and scored on its own terms — from latency arbitrage to swap farming — never lumped into a single score.

A clear risk score per client

One number for every client, with the patterns it tripped shown beside it, so a dealer can triage the book in minutes.

Evidence behind every flag

Open any flag and see why the client was marked. Nothing asks you to take the system's word for it.

Win-and-withdraw detection

Surfaces accounts that profit and immediately pull the money out — the classic abuse pattern, caught early enough to review.

Large-withdrawal watch

Flags a cash-out that is unusual against that client's own history, rather than against an arbitrary threshold.

A/B-book routing decisions

Per-symbol book assignment with recommendations on which toxic-but-profitable clients to move to A-book.

Winners and losers, plainly

See who is consistently taking money out of the book and who is funding it, without building a spreadsheet.

Profiles that follow the partner tree

See whether a whole introducing broker's client base behaves differently from the rest of your book.

What you get

Why it matters to your desk

  • Stop losing money to the same handful of accounts — they become visible in days rather than at quarter end
  • Defensible decisions — when you re-book or restrict a client you have the evidence, which matters if they complain
  • Keep the profitable ones — a client can be toxic to your B-book and still be worth having on A-book; the profiling tells you which
  • Judge partners fairly — see whether a whole IB's flow is the problem, rather than guessing
  • Your dealers stop hunting — the desk gets a ranked list instead of trawling account histories
FAQ

Questions we get asked

What counts as toxic flow?
Trading behaviour that reliably profits at the broker's expense rather than from market direction — from latency arbitrage to swap farming. Shield recognises each behaviour as a named pattern with the evidence behind the flag, rather than collapsing everything into a single blanket score.
Will it act on a client automatically?
No. Shield is advisory — it surfaces the client and the evidence, and your desk decides. Nothing is restricted, re-booked or closed on your behalf unless you choose to enable it.
Can I see why a client was flagged?
Yes, and that is the point. Every flag opens to show the behaviour behind it, so the call can be explained to a colleague, a partner or the client.
